Ballu Tiger (Mithun Chakraborty) is a coldblooded contract killer who works for Bajrang Pandey (Kiran Kumar) the underworld don. D.C.P. Rakesh (Aditya Pancholi) is a hard core cop for whom duty is everything. He arrests Bajrang Pandey on the charge of a politician's murder and gives him third degree torture in the police lock-up. He tortures and humiliates him like an ordinary criminal in order to teach him a lesson that law is not a toy in the hands of criminals.

After getting released on bail Bajrang Pandey is wild like a wounded tiger. He couldn't forget the torture and humiliation by Rakesh in the police lock-up. Now he wants to take revenge on Rakesh so he calls Ballu Tiger and hires him to till him (Rakesh).

One night when Rakesh was coming home Ballu shoots him on the way and runs away. Somebody calls up the police. Rakesh is rescued. He immediately rushed to the hospital where he is saved.

But soon Ballu comes to know that Rakesh is non other than Devika's (Ayushi) husband. In fact Devika was once Ballu's sweet heart. Ballu and Devika were madly in love but fate did not let them tie the knot. Now Bajrang is obsessed to kill Rakesh and Ballu decides to save his beloved's Suhaag. And thus a battle starts between Ballu and Bajrang Pandey. Did Bajrang succeed in killing Rakesh? Could Ballu save his life? And what happened when Devika came to know that Ballu tried to kill her husband? for the answer, see "Devta".
